2025 Undergraduate Internship Application:

Interns in the field, in the classroom, and in the laboratory.

The Appalachian Laboratory will begin accepting applications for the 2025 program on Monday, November 25, 2024. Application priority is given to students from Frostburg State University, Allegany College of Maryland, Garrett College, and Potomac State College. Summer 2024 Internship Experiences

In addition to their research or project-related work, interns also participated in weekly professional development activities, including visits to research sites, workshops, and networking opportunities. 

The 2024 Appalachian Laboratory Summer Internship Program was funded in part through the Western Maryland Consortium and National Science Foundation REU Supplemental funding.  Thank you to our funders for making this experience possible for our interns!
