Bio
Anna works in the Lapham Lab at the Chesapeake Biological Lab where she is pursuing a doctoral degree. Her interests lie in carbon cycling in marine/estuarine environments, science communication, and efforts to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion in the science field. Her current research is focused on microbally mediated anaerobic oxidation of methane (AOM) as a mechanism for the production of dissolved organic carbon (DOC). Anna serves as the treasurer for the CBL chapter of the American Association of University Women (AAUW), is a CBL student representative for the UMCES Graduate Student Council, and is a part of the welcome committee for new students at CBL.
