On Thursday, December 9, 2021, Dr. Khurshid Jahan, MDSG State Science Policy Fellow, presented "Optimization of the design of a suburban runoff treatment system using stormwater management model (SWMM)" as part of the Appalachian Laboratory's Visiting Scholar Seminar Series.

On Thursday, October 21, 2021, Dr. Bill Dennison, Dr. Vanessa Vargas-Nguyen UMCES-IAN), and Katrina Kelly (UMES) presented a conceptual framework for an Environmental Justice Index for the Chesapeake Bay watershed, which was developed through a graduate course in the Marine Estuarine Environmental Science (MEES) program held in Spring 2021.
