Dr. Michele Burford, Executive Deputy Director of the Australian Rivers Institute at Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia, will give  talk titled "Assessing the impacts of water resource development in northern Australia on fisheries and the environment". Her research focuses on algal ecology, nutrient cycling and food web dynamics.
