It’s a big ocean for two baby leatherback turtles! Join Laurie and Tica on their adventure as they search for food together and try to find their way home.
Dr. Helen Bailey, an Associate Research Professor at the Chesapeake Biological Laboratory, studies the migration of young leatherback sea turtles. To raise awareness of this critically endangered species, Bailey co-authored a delightful children’s story, published in both English and Spanish. Through its narrative, the book describes the life history of leatherback turtles and threats to their survival, while introducing the concept of marine conservation.
