Baltimore Magazine paid a visit to the Horn Point Laboratory (HPL) to do research for their October edition, “The Mighty Oyster: Maryland’s most weird and wonderful seafood is in the midst of a major comeback”. Editor, Lydia Woolever, spent the day talking with faculty and students whose research covers facets of the oyster from genetics to tolerate lower salinity to their potential to enhance coastal resilience while providing marine habitat through building oyster castles.
