Winter Twig Identification Skills Workshop

Identifying trees and shrubs in winter requires a shift in perspective. This beginner-level workshop will provide an understanding of tree structure, growth patterns, and diversity of plant life throughout the year, and turn winter walks into engaging quests of discovery.
During this free workshop, you will be guided by examples, a presentation, and activities in the lab, followed by a walk on the Horn Point Laboratory campus, where you will collect a sample to identify, going through the steps presented in the introduction.
