The Environmental Statistics Collaborative, located at Chesapeake Biological Laboratory in Solomons, provides statistical support to students and faculty of the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, as well as to external parties. We are commited to providing state-of-the-art statistical support for projects concerning various environmental problems. If the serious problems you are working on require serious tools to contemplate the data, we offer consulting services for the UMCES students and faculty. At the Chesapeake Biological Laboratory and on the interactive video network, we also offer courses in statistics through the University System of Maryland's MEES graduate program.
The amount of data available at the click of the mouse is quite remarkable. This center will allow us to apply new approaches to this vast amount of information to try to obtain policy relevant information.
