Voting Results and Participant List

There is a growing determination by municipalities, agencies, NGOs, and the community that a healthy harbor and environment is a key element of Baltimore's renaissance. Maryland has a tradition of active engagement between communities, local government, agencies, NGOs, universities, private sector, and engineering experts.

At this workshop, representatives of all these sectors are invited to engage in dynamic roundtable discussions to identify how existing efforts can be enhanced, what innovations are on the horizon, and what research is needed to implement and monitor these solutions. Workshop results will be summarized and used to assist collaborations, research, and planning.

We are asking for your help and energy for a workshop that will:

  • Increase networking and collaboration
  • Identify research questions that are relevant and actionable across scientific and stakeholder communities
  • Categorize research questions according to urgency, feasibility, and interest
  • Raise awareness of current and recent research relevant to the tidal Patapsco and Baltimore Harbor

If you have questions about the workshop, please contact Dr. Eric Schott at HaborScience@umces.edu.
