Yanyu Wang

Yanyu Wang is a Ph.D. student in the Marine Estuarine Environmental Sciences (MEES) program at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science (UMCES) Appalachian Laboratory supervised by Professor Xin Zhang. Her current research focuses on sustainable nitrogen management through the interactions between agriculture production and sustainable Food-Energy-Water nexus with data-driven approaches. The research also involves the participation of different stakeholders and experts. Yanyu received a Master of Science degree in Environmental Sciences from Emory University. During her master's, Her research focuses on analyzing soil GHG fluxes data under cover crop systems from the experimental farm. During her undergraduate, she was in an international cooperation program established by Anhui Agriculture University and Colorado State University. Before coming to Colorado State University, Yanyu was awarded the prestigious water scholars program scholarship funded by Coca-Cola. During her stay at CSU, she gained research experience in soil GHG emission modeling, as well as the mitigation capacity of land management practices to climate change.
